Oat Milk Packs the Plant-Power Punch

Demand for plant-milk is growing, as more people switch on to the power of plants.

It’s our mission to bring New Zealanders the best tasting, best quality, best plant-milk we can and All Good’s Oat Milk delivers the goods.

One of the most sustainable plant-based milks around it uses less water to grow and produce than most plant milks and dairy, as well as emitting fewer CO2 emissions. Here’s why it’s so good.

When compared to traditional milk, any plant-based milk fares better.

According to a study by Poore & Nemecek; for every litre of cow’s milk produced - 3kg of greenhouse gases (mostly methane) goes into the atmosphere, and an average of 9sq.m of land is required - along with 628 litres of water. (That’s about the same amount of water needed to fill a 4 person spa pool!).

Oat Milk Stacks Up Compared to Other Plant-Based Milk Options

Oat milk has one of the lowest greenhouse emissions, around 0.9kg of CO2 equivalents emitted per 1 litre (just behind almond milk). However, producing a single litre of almond milk requires nearly 371 litres of water (compared to the 48 litres needed for oat milk). Oat milk wins hands-down.

Growing oats is good for the land - and has a small impact on land and water use.

Oats may need a little more land to grow than it’s rice, almond and soy counterparts, but requires far less water. There’s also the added bonus that oats are grown in temperate climates that are mainly fed from rainwater rather than irrigation.

All Good Oat Milk is left as nature intended - no sugars are added - and the special enzyme process used in its production means it's super creamy too!

Good for you, the planet, flat whites, smoothies, hot chocolate, cups of tea or whatever your heart desires
