Drinking no Evil at the London Coffee Festival

Over four days, almost 24,000 people drank, ate, sampled, celebrated, laughed, danced and bounced off the walls after too much caffeine at the London Coffee Festival 2015. We were there launching Drink no Evil.

The London Coffee Festival is an event like no other. The Truman Brewery in the heart of London’s Shoreditch is transformed into a mecca for lovers of the hot brown stuff. Over four days, almost 24,000 people drank, ate, sampled, celebrated, laughed, danced and bounced off the walls after too much caffeine.

It’s a great show. Coffee lovers understand the importance of provenance, of fairtrade and organic, of trying new, smaller brands and of supporting producers who are trying to do things differently. Against a pounding backdrop of hip-hop, we launched our Drink No Evil campaign. The tenet is simple – if you don’t know what you’re eating or drinking, you probably shouldn’t be putting it in your body. Our not-so-secret recipe is there for all to see. The best fairtrade, organic ingredients sourced from around the globe. Simple.

We also met some amazing people and brands.  From our very own ‘Gingerella’ (ginger-haired mum and her super cool daughter Ella), latte art aficionados, wickedly decadent coffee cocktail baristas (who knew gin and cold brew would work?), fashion-conscious, tattooed types and roasters who filled the air with delicious aromas.

Next year we’ll be back bigger and better…and with more stock. Thanks London, you drunk us dry!
